"An Agnostic Perspective on Faith and Religion"
Why agnostics are critical of theology.
Agnosticism is not a religion but rather a set of shared principles grounded in known quantities and proven natural science. Religion and divine faith are on the other hand theistic ideologies which are typically based on mysticism and the supernatural. Agnostics are also more steadfast in their quest for truth and knowledge. They believe that nothing can be known with certainty unless it conforms to the laws of nature and rational human understanding. The following selections deal with the most common issues about faith and religion from an agnostic viewpoint.
